Laura’s Education

I am committed to continually refining my skills and improving myself for the benefit of my clients, my family, and myself. This includes ongoing training in the Feldenkrais Method® of movement education, in meditation, and in somatic and communication work. My academic background is in computer science.

Feldenkrais® education and professional development

My education as a Feldenkrais practitioner has developed through three forms of study: my professional training, years of helping design and staff Feldenkrais programs, and continuing education.

Professional training

I completed the 800-hour Victoria II Feldenkrais Professional Training Program, studying with Jeff Haller and other faculty from March 2009 through June 2012.

Learning through program design and staffing

I also learned by helping Jeff Haller design and staff a series of multi-year Feldenkrais programs. Participating in these programs gave me repeated exposure to the material while I helped create and support the learning environment.

Your situation isn’t in the curriculum

I’ve spent a lot of time studying how people move and learn. I keep at it because it helps me notice more about the person in front of me and gives me more ways to work with them. The consultation is where we find out what that can do for you.
